Terms
Effective from 31 October 2026
These terms apply when you search for and book accommodation through MatchingHotels.com. Please read them before you book. If you have questions, contact us.
1. Who we are
MatchingHotels.com is operated by Matchinghotels, Österängsgatan 32, 302 53 Halmstad, Sweden. Email: booking@matchinghotels.com.
We arrange accommodation at hotels around the world. Prices, availability and bookings come from our partner Nuitee Travel Limited in Ireland, which operates the liteAPI service. The stay itself is provided by the hotel.
2. How a booking works
- You choose a room and enter the name, email and phone number of the person booking.
- We reserve the room and check the price and conditions one last time. If anything has changed since your search, we show it before you pay.
- You pay in a payment form provided by our payment partner Nuitee. We never see your card details.
- When the booking is confirmed you receive a booking number. Keep it. The hotel's own confirmation code may arrive later.
The name on the booking must match the ID of the person checking in. Check the dates, number of guests and children's ages before you pay. Enter each child's age at check-in, as price and room may depend on it.
If your payment went through but you did not receive a booking number, contact us and we will sort it out. According to our payment partner, a reserved amount is normally released within 1–2 business days if the booking is never completed.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are fetched in real time and may change until you pay. The price you pay is shown before payment.
- Payment is made to Nuitee Travel Limited, which charges for the booking. The name on your card statement may therefore differ from MatchingHotels.com.
- Fees the hotel charges on site, such as tourist tax or resort fees, are not included in the price. We show them separately when we have the information, and you pay them directly to the hotel.
- The hotel may require a deposit or a card at check-in.
4. Account and member prices
An account with us is free. Signed-in users may get lower prices than those shown to everyone. These prices are only for account holders and may not be published or shared publicly. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
5. Cancellation, changes and refunds
- Each room has its own cancellation rules, set by the hotel. Before you pay, you can see whether the room can be cancelled.
- Non-refundable rooms are not refunded if you cancel or do not show up.
- Refundable rooms are refunded according to the room's cancellation rules. How much is refunded depends on when you cancel.
- To cancel, email booking@matchinghotels.com with the booking number and the name on the booking. What counts is the time we carry out the cancellation with our partner, so contact us well before the cancellation deadline.
- Refunds are made to the card you paid with.
- To change dates, room or number of guests, the booking usually needs to be cancelled and made again. Contact us and we will help you.
If the hotel cancels your booking, we will help you get your money back or find another place to stay.
6. Right of withdrawal
EU consumer law normally gives a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts, but it does not apply to accommodation provided on a specific date or during a specific period. This means the room's cancellation rules apply, not the right of withdrawal.
7. During your stay
The hotel's own rules apply during your stay, for example check-in and check-out times, ID requirements, age limits, pets and smoking. If a problem arises, raise it with the hotel first so they can fix it right away. Please also contact us and we will help you.
8. Information on the site
Photos, descriptions, facilities and ratings come from the hotels and our partners. Distances to the centre are in a straight line. We do our best to keep the information correct but cannot guarantee it. The trip planner uses AI to interpret what you write and can misunderstand. Always check the hotel, dates, guests and price in the summary before you pay.
9. Our liability
The hotel is responsible for the stay. We are responsible for arranging your booking correctly. If something went wrong because of us, we will put it right. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as missed travel or other costs, except where the law says otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.
10. Complaints
If you are not satisfied, contact us as soon as you can at booking@matchinghotels.com. Include your booking number and, if possible, photos or other evidence of what happened. If we cannot agree and you live in Sweden, you can turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), arn.se. If you live elsewhere, you can contact your national consumer authority.
11. Shared lists and the trip planner
A shared list can be seen by anyone who has the link. What you enter in the list, such as your name when you vote, is visible to them. Do not write anything in lists or the trip planner that you do not want to share. Misuse of the service, such as automated collection of prices, is not allowed.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. A booking is governed by the terms in force when you booked.
13. Governing law and disputes
Swedish law applies. If you live in another country, you keep the protection that consumer law there gives you.
